Philosophical Foundation: Shadang

Our teaching approach is deeply inspired by Shadang, the classical framework of Indian art that defines six essential aspects of artistic creation.

The Six Principles

• Rupa Bheda – Understanding form and structure

• Pramana – Accuracy in proportion and measurement

• Bhava – Expression and emotional depth

• Lavanya Yojana – Grace, composition, and harmony

• Sadrishya – Resemblance and likeness

• Varnika Bhanga – Application and understanding of color
